Every Monday now, the internet is awash with #mondaymotivation tips and quotes and blog posts.

That’s all very lovely, but do any of them tell us that motivation is not worth anything unless we have a reason to do something?

Motivation is an external action to get you to do something.

If you want to continue, you have to want to do something to change from the inside.

Making a decision to change is great, but we have to make it into a habit and keep that motivation.

To do something we have never done before, we need to change.

And keep changing until it becomes a habit.

Brighton Marathon here I come!

I’ve only gone and had my place accepted for Brighton Marathon!

To be honest, when I was completing the entry form it felt quite daunting. I may of completed my first half marathon last month, but it was just that. Half the distance and it was tough.

But on the plus side, I cant wait and am very much looking forward to it, as it will be my first and hopefully not my last!

I have already started training and have a number of races already lined up, including West London 10K and North London Half Marathon.

For this run, I will be running in aid of Cancer Research UK and have my Justgiving page here for you to make a contribution for the vital work they do.

I’m looking forward to sharing my journey with you all and inspire other to be more active with #55Alive
