Mindfulness is a word that I am seeing more and more used these days. What is it all about i hear you say?
Short of using Dr Google and asking “what is mindfulness”, it simply means being in the moment and mindful of what you are doing.
For me, it interprets to doing one thing at one time.
The ladies are now saying, ha! That’s because you are a man and can only do one thing at one time.
Multitasking is great, but there are times when you should take time out and just be mindful. Some people may call this meditation and you just focus on your breathing.
I do it in many more things.
When I’m eating alone, I just eat and focus on what I am eating. I’m not on the phone, I’m not texting or Social Media, I’m not reading. I am just eating. Mindful eating.
In fact, it has been scientifically proven that many people with weight issues are not mindful of what they eat and are doing other tasks while eating. Like walking, driving, watching TV.
Try being more mindful during your daily tasks.
